Front Desk/Administation
Tammy Warren
Tammy began working for Gaylord Eye Care Center in 1999. Her duties include the front desk and reception area, as well as technician. She greets patients as they arrive, assists in preparing records, answering the telephone and checking insurances. She also schedules appointments and handles referral scheduling. Tammy's duties also include monthly statements and account receivables.
Tammy is married with two children and a new grandchild. She enjoyings spending time with family and friends, bowling, knitting and cross-stitch.
Tina Tubbs
Tina has been working for Bellaire Eye Center/Gaylord Eye Care Center since March 2008. She brought a background that includes working in the medical field for 16 years.
She works as a front desk receptionist in both our Gaylord and Bellaire locations. She also has been trained on retinal photography. She also does repairs and adjustments on most eyewear. She is also eager to expand her job duties and take on new challenges.
Tina is married and lives in Alba. She has 7 children, with two still living at home. She enjoys spending time with her family, camping, traveling and shopping.
Trisha Repp
Trisha began working for Gaylord Eye Care Center in 2009. Her duties are varied and include front desk/receptionist, she may be one of the first and last people that you see when arriving at our office. She is learning many new skills in the optometric field, as well as answering phones, scheduling appointments, handling referrals. Currently Trish is nearing completion on her Masters Degree in Management.
Trisha is a native of Gaylord and after many years away from the area has recently returned. She enjoys spending time with family, traveling and being outdoors.
Kami Knopp, CPOA
Kami began working for Bellaire Eye Center/Gaylord Eye Care Center in 1991. She is a Certified Paraoptometric Assistant. 
Kami works in both our Bellaire and Gaylord office. She handles many duties at both offices. Kami does billing and front desk duties in Bellaire, as well as assisting with frame selections and repairs. She also instructs patients on how to insert and remove contact lenses, as well as working directly with our contact lens representatives and companies to make sure that we are up to date on the latest trends in contact lens materials and trends.
Kami has extensive training on all levels of preliminary testing, including slit lamp evaluation of contact lenses, topography, optical coherence tomography and retinal photography. She also does intra-ocular pressures, corneal measurements, visual fields and visual acuities.
She is married with 3 children. She spends her spare time as a volunteer for the Gaylord High School Hockey Team and the American Cancer Society. She enjoys reading, bowling and watching her children's sporting events.
MeLissa Olson, CPOA
MeLissa began working for Gaylord Eye Care Center in 1991. She is a Certified Paraoptometric Assistant. MeLissa serves as the Vision Source Representative Faciliator for Northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula.
MeLissa has many years experience as an insurance biller, as well as administrative duties and coverage for other areas, including the front desk, testing and the optical dispensary. She represents Gaylord Eye Care Center at most of the health fairs and senior citizen clinics.
MeLissa is married with 3 grown children and 4 grandchildren. She spends her spare time as a volunteer with the American Cancer Society as a Road to Recovery driver, a member of the Great Lakes Division Training Team and a Legislative Ambassador. She also enjoys spending time with family, reading, scrapbooking and genealogy.
Optical Staff
John Puroll
John began his career as an finishing optician in 1985 and joined Gaylord Eye Care Center in 1996. He is a full-service lab technician from surfacing of the unfinished lens to the edging/finishing of that lens. He also does tinting, UV protection and scratch resistant coating on all types of lenses. John handles repairs and soldering of frames. His knowledge of optics and lens types, materials and finishing helps him to excel at trouble-shooting.
John is married with two daughters. He enjoys watching his daughters sporting events and playing basketball.
Teresa Abbott, ABOC
Teresa has worked in the optical industry for over 17 years, she joined the Gaylord Eye Care Center staff in 1993. She is an American Board of Opticians Certified Optician. Her responsibilities include helping a patient choose their personal eyewear that best meet their visual needs, verify prescriptions, order frames, lenses and contact lenses. She also dispenses eyewear and contact lenses.
Teresa also instructs new contact lens wearers on how to insert, remove and handle their new contact lenses. She works directly with our frame and lens representatives to make sure that Gaylord Eye Care Center carries the latest styles and trends in frames and lenses.
Liz Colton
Liz began working at Gaylord Eye Care Center in 1998. After many years working in the lens surfacing area she now works in both the finishing of lenses and helping patients to select the best eyewear for their visual needs.
She dispenses frames and lenses, as well as does adjustments and repairs. Her duties also include ordering frames, lenses and contact lenses, as well as being able to surface lenses.
Sandy Mammoser, ABOC
Sandy has worked at Gaylord Eye Care Center since 2007. She has been an American Board of Opticians Certified Optician since 1996. Her duties include assisting in frame selections, adjustments of eyewear, repairs and ordering of all frames, lenses and contacts. She also dispenses glasses, lenses and contact lenses. Prior to moving to Gaylord she worked as a Optician at an optometric office in the state of Virginia.
Sandy is married and has one daughter and a dog. She enjoys gardening, singing and spending time with family.
Preliminary Testing
Gloria Denholm
Gloria began working for Gaylord Eye Care Center in 2006. Her duties include handling all aspects of testing for patients, including tests prior to being seen by the doctor and special testing for eye disease. She also assists at the front desk in confirming appointments, checking insurances and assisting patients. Gloria is happy to assist in any area of need, so she has been expanding her area of expertise to helping our new contact lens wearers and adjusting and repairing eyewear.
Gloria is married. She enjoys working with children. She loves to spend time with family and traveling. She is bilingual, as she speaks fluent Spanish. Gloria is a member of the Lymphoma/Leukemia Society.
Amanda M.
Amanda has worked at Gaylord Eye Care Center since 2006. She does patient testing prior to being seen by the doctors of Gaylord Eye Care Center, as well as special testing for diseases. She also assists in frame selections and letting patients know their eyewear is ready. She does adjustments, repairs and dispensing.
